About the Journal

Checklist in Ethnobiology is an open-access and peer-reviewed online journal that publishes robust and well-designed research describing the knowledge and use of biological resources by human beings. We welcome original research articles that provide lists of species known and used in specific social-ecological contexts. We intend to be a repository of high-quality list-generating research, which can support the development of studies aiming to find patterns in the relationship between people and nature (e.g., systematic reviews and meta-analyses).

We will only accept papers that provide detailed information on the social, cultural, and ecological aspects of the studied sites, as well as on the sampling procedures and specimen identification.
